Magnetic Stripes
We offer pressure sensitive magnetic stripes in Low Coercivity (LoCo) or High Coercivity (HiCo) formats with the stripes either 3/8" and 1/2" width. These magnetic stripes are manufactured to ISO specifications and are supplied on 14" OD rolls with 6,000 - 8,000 labels per roll. They can be easily applied using your current labeling equipment. An encoder will be needed to encode the data onto the magnetic stripe.
Magnetic stripes can be used with many different product applications. The phone card industry has a unique use for magnetic stripes. Each phone card with a magnetic stripe enables point of sale activation's (POSA), which reduces theft and inventory costs for the card issuer, distributor and retailer. Card's are shipped inactive and are not activated until they are sold at the retailer's location by ng the card through a POS terminal.
